Japan International Cooperation Agency Lectures
Since 2004 the author has given 70+ two-hour presentations on behalf of the government foreign aid agency JICA, introducing “Japanese People and Society” to groups of officials from over 180 developing and emerging countries. They submit questions about Japan, and are welcomed to ask questions during the lecture, so each presentation is different.
Since 2020, when JICA cannot bring participants to Japan, my recorded presentation by Zoom is sometimes shown to them by JICA branches abroad, as explained in a new article on the JICA Kansai Facebook Page: Online Brings us Together | その和訳.
